You deserve to eat. Period.
Eating is how we show up for ourselves, tell our bodies they're safe and stay connected to other humans.
About Anna
I've spent 18 years with humans who have eating disorders, disordered eating and complicated relationships with their bodies. Many of them never saw themselves in the usual picture of an eating disorder. Many had been told that caring for their health meant more restriction, more discipline, more control.
I've lived with MS since I was 15. I use a cane, a walker and a wheelchair, depending on the day. I know what it's like when your body doesn't follow the plan, and when the wellness world keeps selling you a fix.
So I call what I do non-fiction nutrition. Plain words about how bodies work. No good foods and bad foods. No weight loss as the answer to a life problem. Just eating enough, often enough, in a way that fits the body and brain you actually have.
I am a dietitian, but I am not your dietitian. What I share here is education. It isn't nutrition therapy, and following me isn't the same as working with me.
I grew up in South Dakota and live in Massachusetts.

We cannot change the planet hungry.
You can care for your earthsuit on the days you can't stand it, and on the days you're grieving it.
